Role: Creative Photo Editor

For the launch of their new Airbnb Luxe website, I curated moodboards of their newly listed luxury homes using Sketch and Figma. I worked with freelance photographers and vendors in providing set objectives and feedback on the imagery used, and oversaw research and photo selections.

Moodboards were created in a 9-image grid, leading with a dynamic hero image. The following images created a sense of space and aesthetic with close-up details, beautiful lighting, and scenic views. I was responsible for verifying image resolution and sizing, as well as giving detailed editing notes to retouchers.

 

Following Airbnb's style guide, I carefully curated and positioned hero images within the grid, ensuring seamless integration with type placement, icons, and buttons. Embracing the brand's design principles, each element was arranged to create a visually cohesive and user-friendly interface.

 

Challenge:

Airbnb sought to elevate its new luxury home rental platform, Airbnb Luxe, by curating a highly visual and aspirational brand identity. The goal was to develop a design system and creative direction that communicated sophistication, exclusivity, and immersive travel experiences.
